What's Going Wrong?

5 Things To Check Before Anything Else

1. Fresh fuelDrain and refill if stored over 30 days. Stale petrol is the number one cause of starting failures on any Honda engine.
2. Engine oil alertThe Honda GX engine has an oil-alert system. Low oil kills the spark — check the level before every use.
3. Water supply connectedNever run the pump dry. Connect the water supply and open the tap fully before starting the engine.
4. Squeeze trigger before startRelease any residual pressure in the hose by squeezing the gun trigger before pulling the recoil cord.
5. Choke positionCold start: choke ON. Once running for 30 seconds, move choke to RUN. Leaving it on choke causes rich running and stalling.
