5 Things To Check Before Anything Else
1. FuelFresh clean diesel only. Drain and refill if stored over 30 days. Stale or contaminated fuel is the most common cause of starting failures.
2. Engine oilThe Yanmar L100 has a low-oil shutdown. Check the dipstick before every use and top up if below the minimum mark.
3. Water tank levelConfirm the 1,125 litre tank has sufficient water. Running the pump dry will activate thermal protection and can damage seals.
4. Inlet strainerCheck the inlet-line strainer filter for debris before starting. A blocked strainer starves the pump and causes pressure loss or cavitation.
5. Hose couplingsAll quick-release couplings on the 40m hose must be fully seated and locked before starting. A half-seated coupling causes pressure loss and leaks.
