How to fix weak or pulsing pressure on your V-TUF V5

How to fix weak or pulsing pressure

If your V5 starts and runs but the water pressure is weak and pulsing, the machine itself is usually fine — it is nearly always a water-flow or jet problem. Work through the checks below.

What's happening

The motor and pump are running, so this is not an electrical fault. Pulsing means the pump is not getting a steady, full water feed, or there is a partial blockage downstream restricting flow.

Most likely cause

A blocked or partially blocked jet/nozzle is the most common cause of weak and pulsing pressure, followed by a dirty inlet filter or an inadequate water supply (kinked hose, valved couplings, or a tap not fully open).

How to fix it

  1. Disconnect all water hoses and any extension cables from the machine.
  2. Check your water supply gives full flow — no kinks, no stop-valves in the couplings, tap fully open.
  3. Check the inlet filter is clean and free of debris; rinse it out.
  4. Reconnect the water supply and run the machine briefly to confirm steady flow from the outlet.
  5. Fit the BLACK low-pressure jet and run for 20 seconds, then fit the RED high-pressure jet and run for 20 seconds.
  6. If it runs well until a particular jet is fitted, that jet is blocked — clear and rinse it, then refit.
Note: Always switch off and disconnect the machine from the power and water supply before checking jets, filters or couplings.
