5 Things To Check Before Anything Else

1. Power on firstSwitch the machine on before fitting any attachments or connecting to a power tool. The 110V version requires a 110V centre-tap transformer — never use on 240V mains.
2. Always fit a filter bag for dry useFit a VTVS7007 M-Class bag before vacuuming any dry dust. Without a bag, fine dust will clog or damage the HEPA cartridge filter.
3. Remove the bag before wet useTake the dust bag out before vacuuming liquids. The floating valve will protect the motor if overfilled, but running with a wet bag will destroy it.
4. Check the inlet filter is clearThe foam inlet filter sits in the base of the drum. A blocked inlet filter is the most common cause of reduced suction.
5. Never run without a filter fittedAlways have the HEPA cartridge filter (VTVS7021M) correctly seated before switching on. Running without a filter sends dust straight through to the motor.
