Pool environment — equipment specification considerations

Chemical resistance — pool water treatment chemicals (hypochlorite, muriatic acid, cyanuric acid) are aggressive to standard pressure washer seals and lance components. Specify stainless steel lances and chemical-resistant fittings for any equipment used regularly in pool chemical environments.
Non-slip surfaces — pool surround non-slip tiles and coatings require controlled pressure and the correct nozzle angle to clean effectively without removing the non-slip texture. Surface cleaner attachments with adjustable pressure are the correct tool for non-slip pool surrounds.
Wet environment electrical safety — all cleaning equipment used in pool halls and wet leisure environments must be appropriately rated. 110V transformer-fed equipment is the correct specification for plant rooms and enclosed pool hall environments.
