Data Centre Cleaning Equipment for FM Contractors — London, Slough and the UK Data Centre Corridor
Data centre cleaning equipment — the UK corridor
The UK data centre market is concentrated in a corridor running from London through Slough and the M4 to Cardiff — one of the densest concentrations of hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centre infrastructure in Europe. FM contractors, specialist cleaning companies and facilities teams operating across this corridor require HEPA-filtered vacuum equipment meeting ISO 14644-1:2022 Class 8, the accepted UK standard for mission-critical IT environments.
V-TUF supplies M-Class and H-Class HEPA-filtered dust extraction equipment to FM and specialist cleaning contractors across the UK data centre corridor. Next-day delivery to London, Slough, Reading, Cardiff and all points on the M4 corridor on stocked items.
Not in the M4 corridor? V-TUF supplies nationwide. Call 01522 787978 for trade account terms and delivery to your location.

London — Docklands, Equinix, Digital Realty
London Docklands (LD4, LD5, LD8) is Europe's primary financial services colocation hub. Equinix LD8 in Slough and the Docklands cluster handle a significant proportion of UK financial market data. FM contractors and specialist cleaning companies operating across the London data centre estate require ISO 14644-1 Class 8 HEPA equipment and documented cleaning protocols meeting the increasingly stringent requirements of hyperscale operators.

Slough — the UK's largest data centre cluster outside London
Slough Trading Estate hosts one of the highest concentrations of data centre capacity in the UK — Equinix LD8, Virtus LONDON1 and multiple enterprise facilities. The M4 corridor from Slough to Reading is the primary data centre growth zone in England outside the capital. FM contractors based in the Thames Valley and West London operate extensively across this cluster.
Cardiff — the UK's second data centre hub
Cardiff is the UK's second major data centre city — significant investment from Vantage Data Centres and Legal & General in the Cardiff Capital Region has made South Wales a major hyperscale location. FM contractors across South Wales and the M4 West corridor supply cleaning services to Cardiff's growing data centre estate.

Manchester and the North
Manchester's MediaCityUK, NOMA and the wider Greater Manchester data centre cluster is the primary Northern England data centre zone. FM contractors in the North West operating across the Manchester data centre estate.
What the ISO 14644-1 Class 8 standard requires of cleaning contractors
ISO 14644-1:2022 Class 8 is the accepted UK standard for data centre air cleanliness — permitting a maximum of 3,520,000 particles per cubic metre at 0.5 microns. The 2025 update to ISO 14644-5 (Operations Control Programmes) now requires cleaning contractors operating in Class 8 environments to maintain a formal documented OCP covering cleaning protocols, risk assessment methodology, personnel training records and material flow procedures.
Operators including Equinix, Vantage and Digital Realty are increasingly requiring OCP documentation from cleaning contractors as part of contract compliance. Contractors who cannot produce this documentation are operating outside the standard.
HEPA specification for data centre cleaning
H13 HEPA (99.9%, M-Class) minimum for routine data centre and server room cleaning. H14 HEPA (99.995%, H-Class) for hyperscale data halls and environments requiring ISO 14644-3 particle count validation post-clean. Sealed filtration throughout — filter, hose connections and collection vessel all confirmed sealed.
