Industrial Cleaning Equipment for Healthcare Contractors | V-TUF
Industrial cleaning and dust extraction equipment for healthcare contractors
V-TUF supplies H-Class dust extractors, industrial vacuums, hot-water pressure washers and site cleaning equipment to maintenance contractors, M&E contractors, PFI contractors and specialist cleaning firms working inside NHS hospitals, private hospitals, treatment centres, diagnostic facilities and other clinical environments across the UK.
Healthcare estates work sits at the intersection of CDM 2015, COSHH, and NHS infection prevention and control (IPC) requirements. H-Class extraction is the baseline requirement inside clinical environments, not an upgrade.

Why H-Class is mandatory inside clinical environments
Inside a clinical environment — wards, theatres, corridors, plant rooms serving clinical areas — the dust control baseline shifts from M-Class to H-Class. Construction dust carries bacteria and fungal spores including Aspergillus, which poses a serious infection risk to immunocompromised patients. H-Class sealed extraction is the only classification that meets the NHS IPC standard.
Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA)
NHS Trusts require contractors to complete an ICRA before any building work begins inside the estate. H-Class extraction is the standard ICRA requirement for Category 3 or Category 4 dust-generating work inside or adjacent to clinical areas. ICRA — full guidance → ICRA in healthcare construction →
HTM compliance context
HTM 03-01 (ventilation) and HTM 04-01 (water systems) are the most relevant HTMs for maintenance contractors. Works on ventilation plant and pipework are common triggers for dust generation inside clinical spaces.
Asbestos in pre-2000 NHS estates
NHS estates built before 2000 must maintain an asbestos register under CAR 2012 Regulation 4. Where ACMs are present, H-Class extraction is mandatory under CAR 2012, independently of the ICRA classification. Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 →
