Pack 1: Starter Mould Remover Kit (MSP003) is the entry-level mould remediation kit for social housing maintenance contractors, providing the core tools needed for compliant mould removal in occupied and void social housing properties.

For: Social housing maintenance contractors, local authority DLO teams, and housing association operatives carrying out mould remediation in line with Awaab's Law and COSHH requirements.

Important: Mould remediation in social housing requires H-Class dust extraction for any disturbed mould — see the RUCKVAC HSV or MIDI HSV range. This kit provides the chemical treatment layer. PPE is mandatory during application and dwell time.

Where this kit is used

Legislation that applies

Awaab's Law (Social Housing Regulation Act 2023) — Social landlords must investigate damp and mould within 14 days of a report, begin emergency repairs within 24 hours where there is an immediate risk to health, and complete all mould remediation within 7 days. Written records of all remediation work must be kept.

COSHH Regulations 2002 — Mould spores are biological agents under COSHH Schedule 3. Remediation operatives must be assessed for exposure. H-Class extraction is required where mould is disturbed. PPE is mandatory throughout.

Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 — All rented homes in Wales must be fit for human habitation from day one. The continuous fitness standard includes freedom from damp, mould and condensation.
