Legislation that applies

Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 — Wash-down water from construction, fleet and agricultural operations must not enter surface water drains or watercourses. Trade effluent to sewer requires water company consent.

COSHH Regulations 2002 — Petrol engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Outdoor or well-ventilated use is mandatory. Detergent and degreaser use also requires COSHH assessment.

Working at Height Regulations 2005 — Where used for elevated surface cleaning, WAH 2005 applies. Ground-level operation with lance is preferred.
