Legislation that applies

Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 — 415V 3-phase installation must be by a qualified electrician with appropriate overload protection.

Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 — Hot water wash-down from fleet and food environments is trade effluent. Discharge to sewer requires water company consent.

COSHH Regulations 2002 — Hot water pressure washing with detergent requires COSHH assessment.

BRC/BRCGS Food Safety Standard — Electrically heated hot water cleaning assessed in food safety audits. Electric heating removes combustion products from the cleaning environment.
