Legislation that applies

Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 — 415V 3-phase high-amperage fixed installation must be designed and installed by a qualified electrician.

Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 — Hot water wash-down is trade effluent. Fixed washdown points must drain to foul drain.

COSHH Regulations 2002 — Hot water sanitiser use requires COSHH assessment.

BRC/BRCGS Food Safety Standard — Electrically heated static washdown at 70–80°C is the preferred specification for food production zones.
