Patio & Driveway Pressure Washers — V3, V5 or V7: Which One Do You Need?
Patio and driveway pressure washers — which V-TUF do you need?
If you're cleaning a patio, driveway, block paving, path, or outdoor hard surface at home, three machines cover virtually every scenario: the V3, V5, and V7. The right one depends on how much you're cleaning, how often, and whether you want a surface cleaner included. This page cuts through the options.

Start here — what are you cleaning?
Small patio, path or courtyard — up to around 30 square metres
A standard back garden patio or small courtyard, cleaned once or twice a year. The V3 is the right machine — compact, easy to store, powerful enough for concrete, sandstone and porcelain. Add the surface cleaner kit and you'll get streak-free results in half the time of a lance alone.

Medium patio or driveway — 30 to 80 square metres
A larger patio, block paved driveway, or combination of patio and path. The V5 is the step up — 165 Bar and 7.2 L/min brushless motor means faster cleaning with a surface cleaner on block paving and concrete, and enough pressure for tougher biological staining on natural stone. If you're cleaning a full driveway plus patio regularly, the V5 is worth the extra investment over the V3.

Large driveway, extensive hard standing or regular heavy use
A large block paved driveway, extensive external hard standing, or a property where the machine gets used frequently through the year. The V7 is the correct machine — 195 Bar brushless, 7.2 L/min, with an integrated 10m hose reel for reach across larger areas without repositioning. Built for the homeowner who uses a pressure washer seriously.

Best V7 kit for patio and driveway: V7 Pro Patio & Car Cleaner Kit (V7240-KIT1) — £599.99 →
Do you need a surface cleaner?
A surface cleaner — the spinning disc attachment — is the single biggest upgrade for patio and driveway cleaning. It cleans 3–4 times faster than a lance, eliminates the streak lines that a fan jet leaves on block paving, and works with any V3, V5 or V7. If you're cleaning more than a small patio, it's worth having.

What about algae and moss?
Pressure washing removes visible algae and moss but doesn't kill the spores, so regrowth comes back within weeks on shaded and damp surfaces. V-TUF D-Green applied after washing kills biological growth at the root and significantly reduces regrowth through the season. The Master Pro kits include D-Green concentrate.
