Battery & Cordless Pressure Washers and Vacuums | V-TUF
Battery & Cordless Cleaning Equipment from V-TUF
Battery-powered and cordless cleaning equipment from V-TUF covers pressure washers, industrial vacuums and M-Class and H-Class dust extractors — delivering genuine industrial performance without mains power dependency. For sites without electrical supply, remote locations, van-mounted operations and applications where cable management is a hazard, cordless is now a viable primary specification rather than a compromise.
Battery pressure washers
V-TUF TUFJET 4 — 110 Bar, 11 L/min, 2 x 82V lithium batteries
The TUFJET 4 is V-TUF's industrial battery pressure washer — 110 Bar and 11 L/min from two 82V lithium batteries. Built for contractor use, not domestic convenience. Sites without 110V or 240V supply, agricultural operations, remote cleaning contracts and applications where cable trip hazard is unacceptable.
- 110 Bar working pressure
- 11 L/min flow rate
- 2 x 82V lithium batteries and double charger included
- No mains power required — genuine site independence
V-TUF TORRENT 2LI — 150L bowser, battery-powered, 29kW
Self-contained battery bowser pressure washer with 150L onboard water tank. For remote sites with no mains power and no fuel supply — the fully electric, fully cordless bowser solution.
Battery and cordless vacuums
V-TUF RUCKVAC ION — M-Class cordless backpack vacuum
M-Class H14 HEPA filtration in a cordless backpack format. The RUCKVAC ION is the dust extraction specification for CDM 2015 and COSHH compliance on sites where cable management is impractical — scaffolding, roof spaces, ceiling voids, elevated access work, confined spaces.
- M-Class certified — CDM 2015 and COSHH compliant
- H14 HEPA filtration
- Backpack format — hands-free operation at height
- Battery powered — no trailing cable on scaffold or elevated access

V-TUF RUCKVAC HSV — H-Class cordless backpack vacuum
H-Class H14 HEPA filtration in a cordless backpack. The correct specification for asbestos-adjacent work, CAR 2012 licensed operations and carcinogenic dust extraction at height or in confined spaces where mains power is unavailable.

Why battery now — not just convenience
The shift toward battery-powered cleaning equipment in the UK trade market is driven by three factors that have nothing to do with consumer convenience:
- Site power availability — CDM 2015 notifiable sites in early civils and groundworks phases often have no electrical supply. Petrol or battery are the only options. Battery removes fuel handling, exhaust fume risk and refuelling logistics.
- Working at height and confined spaces — trailing cables on scaffold, in roof spaces and in ceiling voids are a trip hazard and a manual handling risk. Battery eliminates the cable entirely. For RUCKVAC ION on scaffold, this is the primary reason to specify battery over mains.
- Van-mounted operations — cleaning contractors, window cleaners, soft wash operators and vehicle valeters operating from vans don't always have access to site power. Battery pressure washers and battery vacuums allow fully self-contained operations without a generator.
What battery doesn't replace
Battery pressure washers at current specification (110 Bar, 11 L/min) are suitable for contractor cleaning, agricultural wash-down and site maintenance. They are not a replacement for diesel or 415V electric machines at 200+ Bar and 15+ L/min for heavy industrial applications. For sustained high-output work, mains electric or diesel remains the correct specification.

Legislation that applies to battery dust extraction
CDM 2015 — M-Class or H-Class extraction required on notifiable construction sites regardless of power source. Battery does not reduce the filtration class obligation.
COSHH Regulations 2002 — the extraction class is determined by the dust, not the power source. Battery M-Class is COSHH compliant for the same materials as mains M-Class.
CAR 2012 — H-Class mandatory for all asbestos vacuum work. Battery H-Class (RUCKVAC HSV) meets this requirement.
