Which pressure washer for valeting?
Vehicle valeting typically requires 100–200 bar at 8–15 L/min — enough pressure to remove road grime, traffic film and brake dust without risk of damaging paintwork at sensible working distances. Hot water (60–95°C) is the correct specification for cutting through wax, grease, engine bay contamination and heavily soiled commercial vehicles. Cold water at high pressure will shift surface dirt but won't emulsify oil-based contamination effectively.

Environmental compliance — washdown water
Washing vehicles on any surface where run-off enters a drain connected to surface water or a watercourse is an offence under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016. This applies to mobile valeters, fixed bays and any commercial wash operation. Run-off must be contained or directed to a foul sewer.
