Legislation that applies

COSHH Regulations 2002 — M-Class is the minimum legal standard for most construction dust. The 14-month LEV examination applies to extractors used as local exhaust ventilation.

CDM 2015 — Dust control is a CDM duty. M-Class is the minimum for most dust-generating tasks.

HSE EH40 Workplace Exposure Limits — M-Class with water suppression is the specified control for most silica-generating tasks.

PUWER 1998 — Work equipment must be suitable for purpose and maintained in safe condition.
